  • Despite the obvious failure of their last album, "Start The Headache", the Porch Monkeys are once again recording another sure-fire bomb! Daniel is expected to have a few of his drug related songs on the album, but most of the tracks will consist of more of Alex's happy songs. They're currently working on recording two songs; the first is written by Alex and titled "I Seen A Perdy Butterfly." The other song is a new one by Derek, which is called "Eat My Liver, Yak's Milk!"     CLUB WARS!


    On April 26th, the Porch Monkeys played at Foxtown in Pittsburg, KS for a battle of the bands named "Club Wars." Well, what can you expect, the Porch Monkeys lost. Were you suprised? The winners of the competition(due to the minions of Satan-worshipers they brought with them) were the Coventry Sacrifice. The Porch Monkeys came in 'second place,' but that's also because they bribed people to come and vote. The real winners were Paperface, who came in third. Poor guys. It must suck to be beat by two horrible bands...

    Things have been really fortunate for fans lately, as the band hasn't had as much time to record as they'd like! This means it will be a long while before we have to hear any more of their crap! As the debate season winds down and trig homework becomes less of a priority, the band will begin to spend more time in the studio doing God knows what. The new songs are sounding quite a bit more raw and punk-like.(IE: Its the same shit-o-rama as always.) Expect to hear some horrible, teeth clenching sounds coming from the band!
  • On May 10th, the Porch Monkeys will be playing at "Tenfest" in Pittsburg. Experts speculate that the Porch Monkeys will have a record attendance of 4 people. They play at 4:00 pm, but there's no reason to go. Remember folks, there are better things to do with your time. However, the great band Paperface will be playing later that night, so one should check them out!
